Sky DC

Sky DC is a comprehensive renovation of a four-story brick condominium building, reimagined unit-by-unit with refined contemporary interiors while preserving the gravitas of the original masonry envelope. The exterior was carefully restored — brick repointed, entry rebuilt with a custom red door and tailored canopy — and the building's address presented with editorial restraint.

Interior units were stripped to structure and rebuilt with continuous wide-plank flooring, integrated millwork, and a unified material palette that reads more like custom homes than typical multifamily. Open public zones connect kitchen, dining, and living in single planes; primary suites are sized and detailed to the standard of single-family construction.

A rooftop amenity floor expands the building's program — a finished penthouse-style lounge with full city outlook. Sky DC represents NERA's renovation discipline: a willingness to take a building down to its bones and rebuild it with the same care typically reserved for ground-up construction.
