Rising Glen II is a sculpted contemporary residence sited to capture the golden hour over the Los Angeles basin. The form is composed of stacked volumes finished in warm taupe stucco and stained timber — a material conversation that feels grounded rather than imposed, contemporary without being clinical.
Interior public spaces flow as one continuous volume, framed by full-height sliding glass that dissolves the line between inside and out. The kitchen anchors the plan with a long honed-stone island; the living and dining zones extend toward the pool terrace, where a linear firepit and infinity edge organize the rear yard into a single architectural gesture.
Above, the primary suite occupies its own floor, oriented toward the view and finished in a quieter palette of natural wood and soft stone. The secondary bedrooms each open to private outdoor moments. Rising Glen II is the second chapter of NERA's work on this hillside — a continuation of the practice's interest in homes that hold their composure decades after move-in.
